Oh, really? There do seem to be a lot of vampires here.
[ Maurice had obviously had something different about him but Larry hadn't wanted to go off making assumptions. ]
It's weird, there seem to be several different ways the vampires here were made into vampires. And different standards for what kind of blood they'll take.
That's what Spike said. I haven't talked to them yet...
[ He's honestly been trying to be Very Normal since he showed up thanks to the kitchen supplying him with what he needs. But he is curious to meet them. And nervous. ]
I didn't know there was more than one kind of vampire before I came here. I didn't even know there were vampires until, like, this June. Real ones, I mean.
I didn't know there were real ones until I got here, myself.
[ He pauses, and takes a sip of his beer. ]
There's one, Diana? I don't know if you've met her, guess not, though. But she doesn't trust the kitchen's supply and I ended up volunteering to, ah...
[ To feed her, he means, but he can't quite spit that out, it seems. ]
[ A concerned frown tugs at the corners of his mouth. Nothing bad's happened to him so far. Then again, nothing bad had happened to him when he'd been feeding fof cattle until Charlie poisoned him. There just hasn't been enough time for him to tell. ]
[ He is not sure he can feed off of a person who will see him again the following day. ]
I've only just started lookin'. It doesn't look like they have machines like I'm used to here, but they use a lot of steam, so that's somethin. I can learn.

[ He shrugs. ]
At least, that's what I've picked up.

[ His drink arrives and he accepts it gratefully. ]

Oh, uh...glad that worked out for her. For yall.
no subject
[ There are more details to it, but he assumes that would be Diana's business to share. ]
What about you, you doing okay with what's in the kitchens?
no subject
[ He can feel the familiar fuzzy sensation creep along the sides of his head as the centaur's kick does its job. ]
I really don't wanna bite people again...
no subject
Just generally?
no subject
Well yeah. It's gross and in my experience, folks don't like being bitten.

no subject
None of the vampires I know back home want to bite people...at least I don't think so.
[ He can't be sure about Raven. ]
no subject
I'm glad you're thoughtful like that about it. As well as your friends.
no subject
Ah, yeah...I'm not cut out to be a vampire.

Sometimes you've got to just take the hand you've been given, though. Maybe you can make being a vampire into something better than what you've known.
no subject
These do make guitar easier.

[ He pauses, thinking of his next question: ]
So what did you do before you came here? Like, on a general basis. Work or school or whatever.
no subject
[ He taps a claw on the bar top, not for any real reason. A fidget. ]
For about two years, then all the vampire stuff happened and now I'm here.

I mostly work on cars and tractors, but I know my way around a cow farm. I don't think they'd let me milk cows here. I've got cold hands.
no subject
You mean the cows wouldn't.
no subject
They sure wouldn't! And I've had enough cows mad at me lately. So I'll stick to machines.
